Shop the new Dunkirk Spirit T-Shirt! Forming part of our new collection of military t-shirts, each depicting a different area of the Armed Forces. This cotton t-shirt in charcoal grey features the iconic scene from Operation Dynamo. Operation Dynamo took place between 26th May - 4th June 1940, evacuating allied soldiers from the beaches of Dunkirk. Featured are HMS Sabre, Sundowner, Medway Queen and Tamzine, whose contribution helped evacuate 338,226 soliders.
More than 700 “Little Ships” were recorded as taking part in the evacuations from Dunkirk, of which over 100 never made it home. Tamzine was the smallest of all the “Little Ships”, their contribution to the rescue effort was invaluable. The Royal Navy’s destroyers and transport ships were key, rescuing approximately two-thirds of all the evacuees.
